VIDEO: Bloomin' Marvelous Seed Pocket Treat Pouch

Yesterday, I turned a card from the Sale-a-bration Happy Hello Simply Sent Card Kit into a box. (See it here.) For my next trick (wink!), I'm going to turn the coordinating envelope into a treat holder!
I made my pocket spring-themed and put a packet of seeds inside. However, you could use this treat pocket for any occasion -- birthday, Valentine's Day, Christmas. You could even use it as a Gift Card Holder!

Check out this video tutorial to learn how to score your envelope to make it into a treat pocket:

Ready for a Door Prize!? This one is a surprise! Do you love surprises? To be entered in the door prize drawing, leave me a comment and tell me about your favorite surprise! I will draw one winner for the Day 7 Door Prize at the end of the week. (Sorry, this drawing is open to U.S. residents only!) Good luck!

VIDEO: Sale-a-Bration Happy Hello Open Top Box

Remember the Open Top Boxes I posted last year? (See them here and here.) I knew as soon as I saw the Happy Hello Simply Sent Card Kit in the Sale-a-bration brochure that it would be perfect! Don't you agree?
The Happy Hello Card Kit is obviously meant to make cards, but I love that you can make something else with just a few extra score lines!
Watch my video tutorial to learn how to make this box from the Simply Sent Card Kit. You can use the same measurements on another card kit or even just a 1/2 sheet of cardstock (8-1/2" x 5-1/2").

Prefer a print tutorial? Check out the PDF tutorial I posted last fall. The scoring measurements are the same as this project, so you can print it out and refer back to it later.

Ready for a Door Prize!? I love card kits. They are easy and you do just enough to make it handmade. I call them the Jiffy Cake Mixes of Card-Making! To be entered in the door prize drawing for two card kits, leave me a comment on this post and tell me how often you stamp! Is it every day? Every week? Once a month?  I will draw one winner for the Day 6 Door Prize at the end of the week. (Sorry, this drawing is open to U.S. residents only!) Good luck!

VIDEO: Motion Stamping Technique + Tip for Perfect Banner Flag Embellishment

This card was inspired by one my friend Alison posted on Facebook. Thank you for the inspiration, Alison! It's really an easy technique and one that I had forgotten about until I saw Alison's post!

As I am writing up this post, I realized the obvious way to get perfect image placement would be the Stamp-a-ma-jig (D'oh)! But if you're lazy like me or don't have one yet, you'll love the tip I share in the video using something you probably already have: the Stampin' Scrub!

Here's a tip I learned at a Stampin' Up! Regional Seminar last fall. You will never struggle with making the perfect banner flag again!
Watch this short video to for some tips that will make duplicating this card a piece of cake!

Ready for a Door Prize!? Leave me a comment on this post and tell me how long you've been stamping!  I will draw one winner for the Day 5 Door Prize at the end of the week. (Sorry, this drawing is open to U.S. residents only!) Good luck!

VIDEO: Madison Ave & Sycamore Street Petite Pocket

I designed this Petite Pocket project as a make and take for our demonstrator group meeting earlier this month. The Petite Pocket is one of my favorite dies! The pocket can be used as a gift card holder or to hold a special note or treat. Click here to see more Petite Pocket Projects.

VIDEO: Dress Up Pop N' Cuts Card + Blog Party Day 3 Door Prize

I wasn't going to buy the Pop N' Cuts dies. I don't particularly care much for fashion, though I do enjoy watching Project Runway. I think what I love about Project Runway is watching the process of turning something simple like fabric turn into something else - clothes. And that is exactly why I broke down and bought the Pop N' Cuts Dress Up dies and Framelits. It's like magic! With a few cuts, you can turn paper and cardstock into an amazing WOW card!

Here's a photo of the front of the card:

You'll get die-cut pieces to make this card in your free make and take packet when you order $50 or more from my Online Store during my Blog Party, which ends on Thursday, February 28th. (Learn More.) Watch this video to tutorial to see how the Dress Up Pop N' Cuts dies and framelits work together as I show you how to make this card:

I'm not going to sugarcoat it, it's kind of expensive to get all the dies. But if you do it during Sale-a-bration, you'll get free gifts! You don't have to do it all at once either. Buy one piece now and then another next month. The other thing to remember is that the Card Base die can be used on it's own. AND, you will be able to purchase additional Pop N' Cut dies in the future to use inside the base.

Ready for a Door Prize!? Leave me a comment on this post and finish this sentence: "I never thought I would, but I absolutely love ____." For me, it's this Dress Up collection! I am far from a fashionista in real life and I despise shoe shopping, but I am loving creating paper fashions! I will draw one winner for the Day 3 Door Prize at the end of the week. (Sorry, this drawing is open to U.S. residents only!) Good luck!

Paper Craft Fashion with Dress Up Framelits

Sometimes things don't always go as planned! Sorry for the delay in the Blog Party Day 3 project. There were some hiccups with the video that I am still working out. The Day 3 project uses the new Dress Form Pop N' Cuts dies from the Stampin' Up! Spring Catalog. It is so fun! Be sure to come back later to see it! In the meantime, check out the gorgeous little dresses I created using just the Dress Up Framelits! You don't need the whole system to be a paper craft fashion designer!

VIDEO: Chalkboard Technique with Vintage Verses & Day 2 Door Prize

First, a little housekeeping: Thank you for the wonderful comments! If you are asking a question and would like a response, please make sure to include your email address so that I can respond to you. Many people have their settings as such that I only see your name and no email address.

Also, I decided to do the Door Prize drawings for each day at the END of the week. That way, if there's not a full 24 hours between my posts, everyone will still have an opportunity to enter the drawings. Check out today's prize at the end of this post!

Ready for the Day 2 project? I was inspired by the layout of a card by Cindee Wilkinson to create this Chalkboard Technique card. This card features two Sale-a-bration products: the Vintage Verses stamp set and Sycamore Street Designer Paper. You can choose either one for free when you order $50 or more during Sale-a-bration. This has been a popular technique lately! And it's really very easy! I've seen a few variations, but this one is the easiest! Check out my video tutorial to learn how to do this technique:

Ready for a Door Prize!? Leave me a comment on this post and tell me what your "go to" color is! Is there one that you find you use over and over again, more than any other? For me, lately, it has definitely been Pool Party! I will draw one winner for the Day 2 Door Prize at the end of the week. (Sorry, this drawing is open to U.S. residents only!) Good luck!
